  • Day 1 Arrival In Xi’An
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Arrival In Xi’An

Welcome to take our China private tour with daily departure, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will enjoy a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people.

When your flight arrives, you will find your guide waiting for you outside the baggage claim area of Xi’an Airport, holding a welcome sign on which your name is written. After a warm greeting, a private transfer will take you to the downtown area and check into the hotel. On the way, we will take you to the Han Yang Ling Mausoleum, which buries the emperor and his empress of Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - 24 AD). This excavated joint tomb becomes a great counterpoint to the Terracotta Army, with its unique funeral objects of wondrous doll-sized terracotta figurines. This is also the place to exhibit some unearthed tri-colored glazed potteries of Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 AD), known for their bright colored glaze dominant in yellow, brown and green and their artistic delicacy.

      Xian

In the morning, our guide and driver will take you to the Terracotta Army Museum. The life-sized pottery warriors stand or squat in battle array, wearing different facial expressions. Also, you will see terracotta battle steeds, exquisite bronze chariots, as well as many kinds of ancient weapons there, showing the powerful military strength of the Qin Dynasty (221 - 207BC). Today’s lunch is on your own, and surely, your guide will offer you recommendations and assistance.

After lunch, we will have a special visit to the home of Mr. Yang Zhifa, widely-known for his discovery of the first terracotta warrior in 1974. Then meet a local artisan at a cave dwelling workshop featuring traditional residential style. He’ll teach you how to make miniature clay warriors using special molds and local red mud taken from 7 - 9 meters (20 - 23 feet) underground, exactly the same mud used by the Qin artisans.

Then, we will continue the visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The pagoda was built in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures and statues brought back from India. It is also the most famous landmark of Xian nowadays, as its surrounding areas have been developed into a large tourism zone. To its south, is the Great Tang All Day Mall which is a 1500-meter central sculpture pedestrian street, displaying colorful culture of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. You’ll be guided around here, to experience its vibrant diversity.

      Departure From Xi’An

Today we will first visit the City Wall Remains Museum at the foot of the City Wall. Here, you get to visit the ruins of the Tang Hanguang Entrance, which was the starting point of the Silk Road built during Sui Dynasty (581 - 618 AD) and a witness to the glory of the past. Then, we’ll climb up the City Wall, accessible from inside the museum. There you could appreciate the magnificent ancient constructions, admire the surrounding urban landscape and watch the local people’s leisure life at its foot, the City Wall Park. In addition to a relaxing walk, you can also rent a bike to ride on the wall, half circle or one circle according to your physical strength. The rental fee is at your own expense.

Next, visit the Great Mosque, a gorgeous blend of Chinese and Islamic architecture. It is a heaven of pilgrimage and peace in the bustling city. Walking out of the mosque, we will head to the nearby Muslim Quarter for lunch. There will be various local foods. After that, your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
