After a visually spectacular tour over the savannah, youโ€™ll alight in the wilderness for a delicious champagne breakfast. โ€ขWalking Safari Without predators such as leopards and lions, Arusha National Park is an excellent place for walking safaris. Guided by a local ranger, visitors can take a leisurely stroll through the park to a picturesque waterfall. Along the way you can expect to see animals such as black and white colobus monkeys, giraffes, baboons, and more. โ€ขMasai Boma Visit The iconic Masai are omnipresent in and around the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and a visit to one of their traditional villages is a thrilling cultural excursion. Kilimanjaro Trekking Mate does not provide travel insurance therefore the client must obtain travel insurance from their home country.

Flights

Flight: Airline tickets; ( international and domestic flights ) are not included. Arrival: If you are arriving at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, then airport transfers to and from those airports are included in your trip, we strongly suggest you to email your flight ticket to your Tour Agent / Tour Consultant so we can arrange your transfers accordingly. Our office driver will display your name on a Kilimanjaro Trekking Mate signboard. These procedures ensure that you are picked up by the correct driver at the Airport. Visa Requirements: Make sure that you have a valid passport whose expiry date is sufficient for you to be allowed to enter Tanzania. (Usually, the expiry date must be at least six months from the date of travel, for tourists, and longer for business travelers. With the exception of those travelling from certain African countries (and a few other countries), all visitors to Tanzania must have a valid visa. It is the responsibility of travelers to arrange this. Visas are best arranged in advance. If you are arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, without having arranged a visa in advance, please follow the procedure outlined below, to ensure that you get the correct visa and meet up with your driver-guide outside the arrival door: 1.Complete the visa request form (either on the ๏ฌ‚ight or on arrival). 2.Join the queue for one of the visa counters โ€“ please donโ€™t let yourself be assisted by anybody at the airport or be persuaded to give your visa money to anyone apart from the staff at the counter. 3.Pay for the visa โ€“ USD 100 per person for US nationals and USD 50 per person for nationals of other countries (visa fees are payable in cash ONLY and US bills should not be older than 2006). 4.Make sure that you get a receipt for this transaction โ€“ the receipt is yellowish- orange color with a silver seal sticker. 5.Verify that the number on the receipt is the same as the one written on top of the visa stamp on your passport. 6.Queue up for your ๏ฌngerprints and passport. 7.Collect your luggage and leave by the exit. 8.Outside the exit door you will see our driver guide holding the โ€˜Kilimanjaro Trekking Mateโ€™ signboard.

      Your guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and escort you to tonightโ€™s accommodations in Moshi/Arusha. As local Tanzanians, our guides know the country with unrivaled familiarity, so youโ€™ll be in good hands from the moment you land to the moment you leave.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Tarangire National Park

      Day 2: Tarangire National Park

      Morning Head off for Tarangire National Park, where ancient baobab trees tower over some of the largest herds of elephants in all of Africa. Keep a lookout for the hundreds of bird species Tarangire is known forโ€”and dramatic interactions between predator and prey at the parkโ€™s watering holes. Late evening, we exit the park and drive to Mto wa Mbu near Lake Manyara /Karatu, dinner and stay overnight at Marera valley lodge.


  • Day 3 Day 3: Serengeti National Park

      Day 3: Serengeti National Park

      After breakfast, we will set off for Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch, and game drives en route, afternoon game in Serengeti Central Part.

      Tanzaniaโ€™s oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO world heritage site and recently proclaimed the 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains. Serengeti offers an exotic game viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you an up-close look of the animals youโ€™ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grantโ€™s gazelle.

      Dinner and stay overnight at Embalakai tented lodge.


  • Day 4 Day 4: Serengeti National Park

      Day 4: Serengeti National Park

      After breakfast, you will head north of Serengeti for a game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails.

      Witness a million wildebeests, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 miles) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north.

      Evening, we make our way to the lodging ,dinner and stay overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented Lodge.


  • Day 5 Day 5: Serengeti National Park

      Day 5: Serengeti National Park

      Spend a full day in north Serengeti mostly exploring the Migration (Thereโ€™s an option of doing a Hot Air Balloon at this area for additional cost.)

      Serengeti National Park, Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with prides of lion up to 30 strong, however, from July to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note - to actually finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Serengeti National Park

      Day 6: Serengeti National Park

      After breakfast you will have half day game drive at Mara river area, afternoon departing to central serengeti seronera. We head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengetiโ€™s species. We enjoy a game drive en-route.

      We arrive in time for dinner and enjoy.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Serengeti To Ngorongoro Conservation Area

      Day 7: Serengeti To Ngorongoro Conservation Area

      After breakfast you will spend your morning today continuing to explore the central Serengeti plains. Towards the early afternoon you will start your journey back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and spend your night inside of the Conservation area near the crater rim.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha /Moshi

      Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha /Moshi

      Today we descend into Ngorongoro Crater to explore the panoramic, game-rich prairies of this ancient volcanic caldera. Backdropped by crater walls nearly 2,000 feet high, Ngorongoro offers the safari experience of a lifetime in a setting unmatched the world over. Observe profuse and diverse wildlife roaming freely in an authentic โ€œLost World,โ€ where itโ€™s possible to encounter every member of the Big Five in a single day. Afternoon, enjoy lunch al fresco in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, short game drive, then we depart the crater ascend the walls of the Crater climbing up to the rim and begin our long drive back to Moshi/ Arusha to your hotel.
