The weather is great is between 10 °C and 25 °C in the recommended months, but at Summer the heat comes up considerably.

Where does the adventure begin? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

Accepted Answer

You will be picked up upon arrival at Rome airport to take you to the Hotel where your experience begins. You must send your flight itinerary through the chat at least three weeks before the start of your experience to coordinate the transfer. If before or during your flight you suffer itinerary modifications due to the airline and/or delays due to loss of baggage, you must notify via the emergency phone (not chat) to manage the corresponding changes in the airport-hotel transfer. What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can&#x27;t go on?

If during your experience you have any health problem, you can contact the local guide&#x27;s attention number or request help from the guide if he is near you. In case of not being able to continue we will help you within our possibilities.
We always recommend purchasing health insurance during international travel in order to receive medical help if necessary.

What is not included in this experience? Are there any extra expenses?

Accepted Answer

The experience does not include international or domestic flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, meals, drinks, tickets to museums and sites of interest, and transfers not described in the itinerary. During your experience you will have free time to visit museums and tourist places not included, so we recommend carrying an approximate daily of $100EUR.
Breakfasts usually cost from 8 to 10 Euros.
Dinners from 12 to 15 Euros
The most important museums have costs between 30 and 50 Euros.
You will always find cheaper or more expensive places depending on the type of food you want to consume, worse there are prices for all budgets.

Which currency do you recommend to bring?

Accepted Answer

If the exchange rate between your currency and the Euro in your place of origin is good enough, we will suggest you to bring Euros, because it is the local currency. If you bring American Dollars you can also make some payments and you will have to change to Euros.
We do not recommend bringing your local currency to Italy because it will be difficult to change at destination.
Airports can be places where it is easier to compare options and decide on the most favorable, although the exchange rate is usually not the best.

If it’s a group experience, what’s the size of the tour groups?

The groups are usually between 2 and 30 people, in the pedestrian visits within the cities you can be a little bigger.

Accepted Answer

Walking through the streets of this city is already a delight in itself, but if you want to consider additional options are the recommendations you can acquire at destination:
Rome: Visit the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Piazza Navona and more. Florence: Visit the Accademia Gallery, the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori and more. Venice: Take a gondola ride Milan: Visit the Brera Art Gallery.

Yes, in every city you will have free time to walk around the city and know every detail.

If meals are included, what&#x27;s the menu going to be like?

Accepted Answer

Only breakfast is included in the accommodation. You can ask for recommendations from the guide, at the reception in the hotels or tourism modules for restaurants and cafes.

If meals are not included, what’s the average price of each meal?

In Italy the approximate prices of food are usually:
Breakfast: Between 4 and 8 Euros (per meal per person).
Meals: Between 10 to 15 Euros (per meal per person).
Dinners: Between 15 to 25 Euros (per meal per person).
In Italy there are many options to take food, for different pockets. Restaurants usually deliver the menu with prices at the time of sitting.

How are the accommodations within this adventure?

The hosts considered as category 4* (remember that the categories in other places may have different characteristics to those of your country of origin).  The hotels considered are the following, however they may change at the time of your guide, the operator will inform you via chat:
Rome - Hotel Archimede / Luce / Villafranca (4 stars) or similar, 
Florence. Hotel Leonardo da Vinci / Adriatico (4 stars) or similar,
Venice. Hotel Carlton Grand Canal / Principe / Amadeus (4 stars) or similar, 
Milan. Hotel Starhotels Tourist/ Novotel (4 stars) or similar.
Private double room (one or two beds).

What’s the minimum age required? Is the price the same for underaged?

Accepted Answer

There are no age restrictions in this experience, however it is necessary to consider that you usually walk a lot and there are transfers of more than two hours by train. There are no special rates for minors.

If I get there a day before or leave a day after, where can I stay?

Accepted Answer

In this experience it is not possible to add previous and/or later nights, however you can wait for your hotel confirmation to check directly with the hotel the possibility of booking. If you don’t know how to do this you can contact the Local Adventures team for more information.

Is there Wifi and/or Internet and cellphone coverage?

Yes at your accommodation you will have internet access.

Will I be able to charge my electronic devices?

Yes, in your accommodation there are connections to charge the electrical units, but we always recommend bringing an external battery for those times when you do not have access to the electrical connection

What’s the voltage there? Do I need an adaptor and/or converter?

In Italy the common voltage is 230 V.
The frequency is 50 Hz. The plugs and sockets are of the F / L type.
We recommend you to bring a multi contact adapter that has the function of a voltage converter.

What&#x27;s the arrival schedule for day 1?

Accepted Answer

Check in and access to your room is from 3 PM on day one, you can arrive early and leave your luggage in the reception without problem or arrive later. The arrival time is between 8am and 8pm, if you arrive outside this time you will be given the information of the direct tour at the hotel. Day 1 is exclusive to your arrival.

At what time does the experience finish the last day?

The last day is exclusive for your departure. You will have the transfer to Rome or Milan airport included (depending on where you finish your tour. Check-out at the hotel is normally at 12pm. If you decide to stay more days on your own the departure transfer will be lost.

Get ready to walk a lot, you must have an optimal state of health to be able to do this tour.

What clothes and/or gear should I take with me?

Accepted Answer

No special equipment is needed, just take into consideration the weather according to the season of your trip.
In winter it is usually cold.

What’s the backpack size suggestion? Is there a place where we can keep those?

Accepted Answer

It is recommended to bring a backpack or lightweight suitcase of maximum 10 kilos for daily departures. You can carry a suitcase up to 25 kilos (depending on your airline) that you can keep at the hotel and/or truck during the days off and transfers, we recommend taking only what is necessary and leaving space for your souvenirs.

Do I need a visa?

You need to check directly with the embassy of your country to confirm if there is any visa requirement to visit Italy. This will depend on your nationality. It is also important that your passport is valid for at least six months from the time you return. To visit Italy it is not mandatory to have travel insurance, it is recommended to hire one that covers any eventuality such as delayed or cancelled flights, as well as it is also suggested to have a higher medical insurance for any type of emergency.

Do I need any specific medical records or vaccination?

Accepted Answer

Italy does not require any kind of vaccine to enter the country, however it is advisable to have routine vaccines, including tetanus, typhoid, chickenpox, hepatitis A and B. It is likely that in order to board your flight, the airline will ask you for a VOCID-vaccination certificate19 with at least two doses, applied at least 15 days before your flight date and/or a PCR Negative test. How are the triple rooms?

In most hotels, the triple room consists of 2 beds, or double bed plus a sofa bed or folding bed.

How is the internal transport?

Accepted Answer

Airport - hotel - airport transfers are in shared services with more passengers (not private), the type of car will depend on the number of people arriving or leaving at times similar to yours. All transfers from city to city are carried out in Modern Trains, with seats with similar characteristics to Economy class on an airline. That means Economy Class(2*) in The Italian National line (Train Italy). Transfers hotel - train terminal - hotel are not included, it is recommended to consider a budget of approximately 15 EUR per way for these transfers. You must show up at least 30 minutes before the departure time of each train because they are extremely punctual and if you arrive late you will miss it.
