      Brazilian Falls

A popular saying affirms that in the spectacle of the Falls, on the Argentinean side the stage is located and of the Brazilian the privileged audience.

The footbridges take the visitor to explore the spectacular waterfalls from different angles. Reaching the very edge of the Garganta del Diablo is a unique experience.

Within the Foz do Iguazรบ National Park, 25 km from the center of Foz do Iguazรบ (BR), are the Brazilian waterfalls. Its great attraction lies, definitely, in its unique panoramic vision. As most of the jumps are on the Argentine side, from this favorable distance, you can see the whole in its entirety and assess the real immensity of the imposing Iguazu Falls. The landscape, incredible where it is appreciated, offers a view out of the ordinary. Surrounded by the green leafy characteristic of the subtropical forests, one can glimpse the largest set of waterfalls in the world, with 275 falls that result in a total width of 2700 meters, one of the sides of the Garganta del Diablo and the no less impressive, 4 Brazilian jumps. On the other hand, it is surprising, in the beauty and enormity of the 175,000 hectares covered by the Foz do Iguazรบ National Park, the innumerable variety of native animal and plant species.

      Balmaceda & Rio Serrano Glaciers

A voyage amongst eternal ice and drowsy nature. We sailed amidst the Patagonian fjords up to the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers in the bernardo oโ€™higgins national park.

There is no doubt that beholding the glaciers is one of the most dazzling experiences man can enjoy on Earth. Maybe because they are millions of years old, maybe because of the various shades they acquire when exposed to sunlight, maybe because visiting them represents an entire voyage around these latitudes, or maybe simply because their whimsical shapes and monumental size make us think only a superior force might have created them. The truth is that thousands of people from all round the world spend considerable amounts of money in order to appreciate them.

Being so close to the Southern Ice Field, the third world fresh water reserve, it is impossible not to be tempted by the possibility of accessing some of the glaciers that give shape to it. Very early, the โ€œ21 de Mayoโ€ and โ€œAlberto De Agostiniโ€ ships leave from the Puerto Natales official pier towards the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. Being only mortal, I could not escape temptation and was one of the first people to get on board. Besides, the voyage takes the passengers across the Bernardo de Oโ€™Higgins National Park, the largest in Chile with its 3,525,901 hectares of total surface.
