Morning, You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge you will be met by our friendly & efficient MTA chauffer who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive for Half day City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Later you visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. Evening you will be strolling through Muttrah Souq, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items. Overnight in Muscat Hotel.

At 0800 hrs, we’ll stop at the picturesque village of Birkat Al Mauz, nestled at the foothills of Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountains). Enjoy a leisurely walk through its lush oasis and dense date plantations. Following this, we’ll depart for Jabrin, home to one of Oman’s most remarkable castles, built in the late 17th century. The castle, which once served as a center of Omani learning, is renowned for its exquisite ceiling paintings and intricately executed wood carvings.

Next, we’ll visit Misfah, a charming mountain village with well-preserved stone dwellings. As we make our way towards Jebel Shams, we’ll stop at Wadi Ghul, known for its impressive terrace farming. Our journey continues to Wadi Nakher, located in the depths of Oman’s deepest canyon. From the Jebel Akhdar range, Jebel Shams—the highest peak—offers spectacular views.

We’ll then head to Nizwa, the historic capital of the interior and the birthplace of Islam in Oman. Nizwa Souq is famous for its intricately hand-carved khanjars (daggers) and ornamental silver jewelry. The day concludes with an overnight stay at the Jebel Shams High Resort.

After breakfast, we depart from Nizwa at 0800 hrs for Wahiba Sands, a vast expanse of undulating red and white sand dunes that rise up to 200 meters. This stunning desert landscape is home to a variety of flora and fauna, with the ever-changing patterns of the dunes providing a photographer’s paradise. We’ll visit a traditional Bedouin house in this wilderness, experiencing the stark contrast between the desert environment and the lush Wadi Bani Khalid. The Wadi, with its small picturesque villages nestled in the mountains and its clear, deep blue water, offers a serene backdrop.

Our journey continues to the expansive Wahiba Sands, where you’ll encounter the grandeur of the desert firsthand. Our skilled drivers will take you on an exhilarating ride through the sand dunes, showcasing the thrills of dune driving. After enjoying the adventure, you’ll have the opportunity to meet a Bedouin family and learn more about their desert lifestyle.

We’ll then say farewell to the desert inhabitants and drive to our campsite, where you’ll enjoy a buffet dinner and an overnight stay at Desert Wahiba Sands.

After breakfast, we depart at 0800 hrs, leaving behind the stunning desert landscape as we head towards Sur. Known for its historic dhow shipyard, Sur offers a glimpse into Oman’s maritime heritage. From Sur, embark on a captivating coastal journey to Muscat, traveling through scenic countryside and rugged mountains, passing small fishing towns along the way.

Our first stop on the coastal route is the Bibi Miriam Mausoleum in Qalhat, a significant historical site. We then visit Wadi Tiwi, an oasis famous for its lemon and date plantations, before continuing to Fins Beach. Next, explore the picturesque Wadi Arbayeen, renowned for its deep, clear pools surrounded by date palms.

We’ll also visit the Bimah Sinkhole, a striking limestone crater with mesmerizing blue-green water at its base. On clear days, you might catch glimpses of sharks in the deep blue waters or see fleet-footed gazelles darting across the landscape. The day concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel in Muscat.
