  • Day 1 Machame Gate To Machame Camp

      Machame Gate To Machame Camp

      Drive to Machame village. The climb begins at the end of the tarmac road. Walk through shambas then forest to the Machame hut (3010m, about 6 hours).

      Hiking Time: 5-6 hours

      Habitat: Montane Forest

  • Day 2 Machame Camp) To Shira Camp

      Continue along the steep ridge going on to rock ridges and through heather. The route turns west into a river gorge, reaching Shira hut at 3845m, 5 hours.

  • Day 3 Shira Cave To Barranco Camp

      Continue east towards Kibo passing the junction, then east towards the Lava Tower. Shortly after this, you descend to Barranco hut (3960m, 4 hours).

  • Day 4 Barranco Camp To Barafu Camp

      A short scramble to the top of the Great Barranco and then a traverse over scree and ridges to the Karanga Valley (4000m, 3 hours), beneath the icefalls of the Heim, Kersten and Decken Glaciers. After climbing out of the Karanga Valley the trail ascends a ridge to the Barafu Hut, a bleak location with little vegetation at 4640m, (3 hours walking).

      Hiking Time: 6-8 hours

  • Day 5 Barafu Camp To Uhuru Peak & Down To Millennium Camp

      Barafu Camp To Uhuru Peak & Down To Millennium Camp

      An early start for the ascent to the rim of the Kibo Crater between the Rebmann and Ratzel Glaciers, (4 hours); the last section before the rim can sometimes be snow-covered and an ice-axe or ski stick is useful for balance. From here a further hour leads to Uhuru Peak, from where there are often fine views of Meru to the west and the jagged peak of Mawenzi to the east. Descend to the Barafu Hut for a rest and lunch before continuing on down to camp at Mweka Hut in the giant heather zone on the forest edge. Those with energy on the summit may wish to descend to the Reutsh Crater and visit the dramatic ice pinnacles of the Eastern Icefields.

      A 3-4 hour descent through beautiful forest brings you to the Park gate and your waiting transport. Drive back to the hotel.

  • Day 7 Moshi To Tarangire National Park

      Moshi To Tarangire National Park

      We will depart from Moshi in the morning and travel to the Tarangire National Park where you can marvel at the colossal termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse bird-life assist in creating the tranquil ambiance of the Tarangire National Park. The great elephant population is an extremely remarkable sight. African elephants are the largest land mammal and adult males can weigh as much as seven tonnes. Tarangireโ€™s varied wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons.

  • Day 8 Tarangire National To Serengeti National Park

      Tarangire National To Serengeti National Park

      Early breakfast followed by departure to the Great Serengeti arriving for lunch; lunch is followed by Game drive. Serengeti is home to Africaโ€™s big five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard & buffalo) and is also home to millions of other animals which include browsers, predators, reptiles and birds. The annual wildebeest migration commences in June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head into the Masai Mara plains in search of better pasture. These animals are followed closely by the predators of the savannah (lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, vultures and others). Evening transfer back to accommodation for Overnight and dinner Meal plan: Lunch, dinner, breakfast

  • Day 9 Serengeti To Ngorongoro Crater

      Serengeti To Ngorongoro Crater

      Early breakfast followed by morning game drives within Serengeti to see the park one last time. Afterwards, return to camp for hot lunch then check out and be driven to Ngorongoro Crater arriving in the evening for check in and dinner at camp. Ngorongoro is rich and fertile with stunning views of the crater and lakes.

  • Day 10 Ngorongoro Crater Tour Back To Moshi

      Ngorongoro Crater Tour Back To Moshi

      Breakfast followed by check out from camp with packed picnic lunch to eat during your 6 hours Game drive within crater floor. Descend to the crater to see the breath-taking huge caldera which is home to Tanzaniaโ€™s only remaining black rhino population. Other animals which are easy to spot include hippo, elephant, gazelle antelope, flamingo and other water birds. In the afternoon you will ascend back to the crater rim for transfer to Arusha to connect with your next onward flight to your next destination.
