Arrival at the international airport in Mexico City. Reception by our partner, and transfer to the hotel in the city center. You will have the rest of the day at leisure for private activities. Overnight at the Plaza Florencia Hotel or similar.

Breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the BASILICA DE GUADALUPE, religious complex in honour of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Patroness of Mexico. Located on the Cerro del Tepeyac, indicates the approximate place of the apparitions of the Virgin to the Indian San Juan Diego; the place is a complex of the Antigua Basílica (now Templo Expiatorio a Cristo Rey, completed in 1709); the Capilla del Pocito (a small building completed at the end of the 18th century); the Templo y Ex Convento de Capuchinas next to the ancient shrine and the Nueva Basílica (dedicated in 1976). After this visit, we will continue to TEOTIHUACAN, archeological site and UNESCO´s World Heritage site since 1987, located at 50 km from Mexico City. Founded around the 5th century BC, the site was abandoned by its first settlers, the Teotihuacans. Among its important constructions are the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, the Palaces of the Jaguars and the Plumed Snail and Quetzalpapálotl, the latter having preserved remains of mural painting. It seems to have been occupied by Toltecs at a time after the XVII century, testimony of which is the Great Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl. It is believed that it was the Aztecs who called the main street Calzada de los Muertos (Street of the dead). Back to the city of Mexico, we will have a guided tour visiting the main attractions of the capital of Mexico: The Cathedral built on top of an Aztec temple by the Spaniards, the Government Palace with its famous frescoes by Diego Rivera, one of Mexico’s most famous artists.

Continue through El Paseo de la Reforma, the most important street in Mexico City and its main artery in east-west direction. On their route are numerous roundels with monuments of famous personalities. The road was built at the behest of Emperor Maximilian, because he wanted a direct connection between the Castillo de Chapultepec, occupied by him and his office at the Zócalo. Consequently, the road was first called Calzada del Emperador (road of the Emperor). After he was deposed, it was renamed in view of their statues located in it as Paseo de los Hombres Ilustres (promenade of famous men) before finally adopted in 1861 its present name in honour of President Benito Juarez´s reform legislation. You will pass close to the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Palace of Fine Arts and the Monumento a la Revolución. Finally you can see the Castle of Chapultepec and panoramic visit of the residential neighbourhood of Polanco as well as the famous Masaryk Street. Back to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure for private activities. We suggest visiting the National Anthropological Museum, which provides an impressive collection of Mexican culture from the pre-Hispanic period on display. Also is very interesting to visit Xochimilco, a district consisting of freshwater canals and floating gardens. You can have lunch on board a "trajinera" (local boat) accompanied by the music of mariachis. Back to the hotel. Overnight at the at the Plaza Florencia Hotel or similar. (B)
Day 4 Mexico City – Tepotzotlan - Queretaro

Mexico City – Tepotzotlan - Queretaro

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tepotzotlán, a small city with Aztec influence that shows a strong Spanish influence, specially by Jesuits who built an educational center to train Jesuits novices. The center of town has maintained its colonial-era appearance with cobblestone alleys, arcades and plazas. We will visit the Museum of Viceroyalty of New Spain, housed in a complex built by the Society of Jesus in the 1580´s. The Museo is considered to be one of the most impressive in the country due both to its collection and to the aesthetics of the building that houses it.
In the afternoon, depart to Querétaro. Upon arrival we will offer you a walking tour. The city of Querétaro offers great historical wealth, having witnessed a number of events which were historically significant to the country, in addition to the fact that most buildings depict the colonial Baroque style which is particularly representative of the XVIII century. Located in the Bajío region of Mexico, the capital of Querétaro has a warm weather for most of the year. Proceed to the hotel, check in and overnight at the NH Querétaro or similar. (B)
Day 5 Queretaro – San Miguel De Allende

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we continue to San Miguel de Allende in the State of Guanajuato. This World Heritage City offers a provincial atmosphere with every luxury and comfort. The moment you set foot in the center of San Miguel de Allende, you get the feeling you’ve stepped into a time machine, with the neo-Gothic steeples of the Parroquia (Church) de San Miguel Arcángel rising above the city, carved out of pink sandstone. The surrounding area is lined with cobblestone streets and colonial houses that have been turned into art galleries or museums. Upon arrival, you will join us in a guided tour to learn about the history of a town founded in 1542. Visit San Francisco Church and discover later the stories of 6 different landmarks in San Miguel. Admire and marvel at the world famous Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel from the town square. This UNESCO town will have you wanting to stay here forever. Wander the streets and get lost in history with every street taking your breath away. Back to the hotel. Overnight at the Imperio de Angeles Hotel or similar. (B)
Day 6 San Miguel - Guanajuato

Breakfast at the hotel. The morning is at leisure for private activities. You will proceed in the afternoon further north in your journey. We will take you to the bus station on a private car to board the bus to Guanajuato. The way of life in Guanajuato creates the sensation of taking a trip through two cities: the historic one, with its streets and monuments that treasure the passages of the Independence of Mexico, and the festive and bustling, with its infinity of cultural offerings like festivals, theatres and gardens. Day 7 Guanajuato – Guadalajara

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a guided tour in Guanajuato. Among others, you will see the university, one of the must-see places to visit, not only for its stairs that have been posted on Instagram plenty of times, but also for its Astronomical Observatory that is installed on the roof. Another great view is obtained from the funicular (cable car) or from the viewpoint of the Monument to the Pipila. After the ride we will have time for shopping or just stroll through the colonial streets from Guanajuato. In the afternoon, you will be picked up with a private car and go to the main station to bord the bus that will take you to Guadalajara. Upon arrival in Guadalajara, transfer to your hotel, check in and time at leisure. Guadalajara is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state of Jalisco. It’s located in the central region in the Western-Pacific area of Mexico. Guadalajara is the 10th largest city in Latin America and the second most populous metropolitan area in Mexico. The city is the cultural center of Mexico, considered by most to be the home of mariachi music. Overnight at the Morales Histórico and Colonial Hotel. (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. You will be busy with Guadalajara and the surroundings for about 7 hours today. Discover all of Guadalajara’s top attractions during this day tour including the magnificent XVI-century Guadalajara Cathedral, get a peek at the controversial work of Mexican muralist Jose Clemente Orozco, the Degollado Theater and discover the city’s most stunning panoramic view. After visiting all the main landmarks, you’ll head to Tlaquepaque village. Linger over a tasty lunch platter, pop into an art gallery, specially the one from Sergio Bustamante or shop for handicraft souvenirs. Back to the hotel.
