Legend has it that itโ€™s also known as "Porta Renza" due to a character in Alessandro Manzoniโ€™s novel "The Betrothed" entering Milan through this gate. Your tour continues along Corso Venezia, with a shortcut through Giardini Indro Montanelli, a public garden. Across from the gardens, youโ€™ll pass by GAM, the Modern Art Museum. Following Viale Manzoni, youโ€™ll reach La Scala opera house, inaugurated in 1778 and renovated in the early 2000s.
