      Welcome to Tokyo! Once you arrive and check into the hotel, you have plenty of time to recover from your flight and relax before meeting everyone in your group.

      If you arrive very early you can leave your bags at the accommodation to go out to explore Tokyo. We recommend that you buy a train card for one day to go out and explore areas of your own interest. Tokyo is a city very well connected by train and you will reach any corner of the city without much problem.

      Note: Travel insurance is required for this experience (mandatory). Tours are in English

      After breakfast and a welcome talk, you begin the tour walking through Tokyo.

      This city is an incredible contrast of the ultra-modern and the ultra-traditional, it leaves you speechless. First you visit Senso-ji temple. The oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo, surrounded by traditional Japanese markets. Then you visit the impressive Meiji Shrine. Next, you discover colorful Harajuku, as well as the iconic Shibuya Crossing, the busiest intersection in the world.

      We started the day with a full belly, learning the art of rolling sushi from a sushi master, after two train rides.

      In the class you prepare Sushi, Dashi broth and Tamagoyaki.

      You will have free time in the afternoon/evening, we recommend visiting gigo, one of the most important brands of video games and gachapon (not included).

      In the afternoon you will visit Akihabara, 'Electric City' famous for its arcades, maid cafes, Japanese photo booths and everything modern.

      Meals: Breakfast and lunch. Breakfasts in Japan are usually light (cereal, milk, yogurt, bread and sometimes fruit).

  • Day 4 Tokyo- Nagano

      Tokyo- Nagano

      You have breakfast and prepare for the transfer to Nagano. You'll take the 'Shinkansen', the famous bullet train through the Japanese countryside at over 200mph and then a local train.

      We'll arrive in Nagano just in time. to try the ancient art of origami.

      You will have half a day free to get to know Nagano on your own. We recommend going up to see the sunset by bus, going to the local shina kogen Brewery restaurant or the Sparkling Wine Museum (it is small, 10 or 15 minutes), not included.

      Then you can relax in an Onsen (a volcanic hot spring).

      This night you spend in a “Ryokan”, a traditional Japanese inn where you sleep on bamboo beds.

      Meals: Breakfast. Breakfasts in Japan are usually light (cereal, milk, yogurt, bread and sometimes fruit).

      Accommodation: Traditional Ryokan - Shibu Hotel, (Quadruple shared room) Japanese style futon on tatami mat. WiFi & Air Conditioning.

  • Day 5 Nagano- Snow Monkeys- Cooking class

      This morning you will take a Japanese Cooking class, learning how to cook your own Soba (noodles).

      Then you go to the mountains to see the famous snow monkeys. These Japanese macaques play among the trees in summer, while in winter they bathe in natural hot springs to escape the cold.

      During the summer (July - October) you will visit Shiga Kogen National Park.

      The walk, depending on your pace, will be around 3 hours.

      You return to the accommodation in the afternoon to have free time and rest.

      Leaving Nagano behind, you get shot again on a bullet train towards the impressive Hakone, a famous place in Japan for its breathtaking views of Mount Fuji, that is really close to that place.

  • Day 7 Hakone- Osaka

      You spend the morning exploring Hakone on a pirate ship and on a cable car with views of Mount Fuji. The next place is Osaka.

      You spend the morning relaxing or exploring the impressive shops of Osaka. Later, you visit the incredible Osaka Castle, built more than 400 years ago. Here you learn the importance of Japanese history and the ancient warriors of Japan.

      You can take advantage of the morning to wash what you need or go out for breakfast, there are many places around.

      Then you'll return to the mountains for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: spending the night at a traditional Buddhist temple in the fascinating city of Koyasan. The journey is very beautiful, taking a bus and a train through the mountains.

      Upon arrival you have lunch and relax for a couple of hours.

      Today you wake up early for an unforgettable experience: watching the Buddhist monks perform their prayer and fire ceremony (around 45 minutes), if you want to truly know the culture you cannot miss the opportunity to witness it.

      At the end of the ceremony, the monks serve you breakfast before traveling to your final destination, Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan.

      First, you visit the famous Bamboo Forest of Arashiyama, then you head to the beautiful Golden Pavilion, a temple completely covered in gold.

      Today the endless Tori doors of Fushimi-Inari await for you. This is one of the most emblematic sanctuaries in Japan. Explore the winding paths of the ancient mountain.
