  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival At Kathmandu & Transfer To Hotel.

      Day 1: Arrival At Kathmandu & Transfer To Hotel.

       A representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will meet you at the airport and take to your hotel in Thamel โ€“ the tourist hub of Kathmandu. The rest of your day will be free for you to explore Thamelโ€™s narrow winding streets full of fascinating cafes, bakeries, gifts and handicrafts stores. It is a great place to look around and get familiar with Nepal.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.

      Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.

      Today we will visit Pashupatinath, which is the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal and a place where pilgrims worship Lord Shiva (located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River), Bouddhanath, a Buddhist temple referred to as โ€˜Little Tibetโ€™ and then to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). From Swayambhunath we head to Kathmanduโ€™s famous Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site sitting in front of the old royal palace. We will also visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. After the tour of Kathmandu Valley, you will be taken back to your hotels in Thamel where you can relax over a coffee in one of the many cafes or wander around the bustling core of Thamel. 

  • Day 3 Day 3: Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara.

      Day 3: Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara.

      Today we will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and drive a short distance to our hotel near Phew Tal (lake). In the afternoon we will go sightseeing in and around Pokhara. This evening is an ideal time to sit by the lake and watch the sunset over the Annapurna Mountains. 

  • Day 4 Day 4: Pokhara Valley Sightseeing.

      From Pokhara, you can see the Annapurna Ranges in the distance and is best seen in the clear morning light. There are eight mountains that appear so close when viewed at sunrise. You will be able to clearly see and identify Mt. Machapuchare (Fish Tail) in the distance. Today we will head down to Phewa Tal where you can take a boat trip along the 1.5-kilometer lake.  At one end of the lake is the Seti Gandaki River gorge where the water flows from the lake. We will also pay a visit to Pokharaโ€™s most popular temple, Shree Bindhyabasini, devoted to goddess Bindhyabasini, a Bhagwati who is the incarnation of Kali. If you donโ€™t suffer from claustrophobia and a fear of bats, then a visit to Bat Cave is interesting. We will stay overnight in Pokhara. 

  • Day 5 Day 5: Drive From Pokhara To Chitwan.

      Today we have a road trip from Pokhara to Chitwan and on arrival will be taken to our hotel. After lunch at the hotel, we can go bird watching in the park and hope to see some of the 543 species that inhabit the park. This evening we can sit back and enjoy a Tharu cultural show. We will stay overnight at our hotel.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Full Day Jungle Activities In Chitwan National Park Including Elephant Safari.

      You will have a fantastic view of the wildlife from the back of an elephant as it makes its way through the park. The Bengal Tiger lives here in the jungles of the park. Chitwan National Park is Nepalโ€™s third-biggest tourist attraction and was the first designated national park in Nepal. It used to be known as the Royal Chitwan National Park and was established in 1973, becoming a World Heritage-listed site in 1984. Its forest, grasslands, and rivers cover more than 2600 square kilometers and are home to about 800 rhinos. There are more than 700 species of wildlife and an unconfirmed number of butterflies, moths, and insects. At least 43 species of mammals and 543 species of bird have also been recorded within the park. A visit to Chitwan National Park is sure to please the most avid animal and nature lovers. During the 14 to 15 week monsoon period it receives most of its annual 2,500 mm yearly rainfall. 

  • Day 7 Day 7: Drive Back To Kathmandu From Chitwan.

      Early this morning we will drive back to Kathmandu and on arrival take you to your hotel in Thamel. You will have time to do some last-minute shopping before your departure tomorrow.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Final Departure.

      Day 8: Final Departure.

      Today is your departure day from Nepal. You will be taken to the airport at least three hours prior to your scheduled departure. NOTE: if you wish to extend your stay in Nepal we would be happy to talk to you about trekking or other options for however long you intend to stay in Nepal.
