      Arrival in San Cristobal de las Casas

      Today you arrive to the magical town of San Cristobal de las Casas. The transfer to the town is not included. Upon arrival, you check into the hotel, which is usually at 3 pm. You can leave your baggage in reception and start exploring the place at your own pace.

      Note: You can add the private transportation from Tuxtla Gutiérrez Airport to the accommodation in San Cristobal. Add this on 'extras'. This service is available from 7 am to 10 pm. Timings in the itinerary are approximate and may change in destination.

  • Day 2 San Cristobal- Chiflon Waterfalls- Montebello Lakes- Tziscao Villas

      San Cristobal- Chiflon Waterfalls- Montebello Lakes- Tziscao Villas

      After breakfast, you depart towards Chiflon Waterfalls, where you visit the 5 main waterfalls. The most amazing waterfall is "Velo de Novia", which means bride veil. This waterfall can be seen all the way from the base to the top. On the way to this waterfall, you can enjoy soaking in the different natural pools that can be found in the area.

      After the 2 hr. visit at the waterfalls, you visit Montebello Lakes, famous for their turquoise color, which originates from the different floor minerals and the way the surface reflects the light. There are 59 lakes in the area, but you only visit the main ones.

      After this visit, you take the transfer towards Tziscao Villas.

      Note: During the tour, you will stop at a restaurant to have lunch (not included).

      Extra activities: These activities can only be booked on site. You can zip line at the waterfalls and sail on rafts at the lakes.

      Tziscao Villas- Waterfalls Las Nubes- San Cristóbal

      After breakfast at the lodge (included), you depart towards the Waterfalls "Las Nubes" (1 hr. and 30 min. ride). Upon arrival, you start the walking tour towards the amazing viewpoint.

      At the Ecotouristic Center Las Nubes, you can cross over a hanging bridge in front of the waterfalls, and enjoy a 200 meter zip line adventure, where you "fly" above the river. Also, you can swim at different spots and walk towards another viewpoint, where you can see the Santo Domingo river.

      Later, you get lunch. Afterwards, at 1:30 pm you pack everything and depart towards Cristobal de Las Casas.

  • Day 4 San Cristobal- Blue Waterfalls- Misolha Waterfall- Palenque

      You depart from the hotel very early to visit the waterfalls. You stop in Ocosingo to get breakfast (not included). Afterwards, you continue on the way towards the Blue Waterfalls, which have impressive turquoise colors. Swimming and kayaking are the main sports here.

      After the 2 hr. visit, you continue towards Misol-ha Waterfall, which has an amazing drop of 50 meters tall. You enjoy soaking in and taking pictures.

      Then you stop at a restaurant to eat lunch (not included). Later you visit the archeological site of Palenque, which has Mayan ruins surrounded by exuberant vegetation.

      After the 2 hr. visit at the site, you finally arrive to the accommodation in Palenque, where you have the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

  • Day 5 Palenque- Bonampak- Yaxchilan (Lacandona Jungle)

      You depart from the hotel in Palenque very early in the morning to visit the ruins. You stop on route to get breakfast (included). Upon arrival at Corozal border, you step on the boat which takes you to the archeological site in Yaxchilan. Once there, you start the 2 hr. visit.

      Then you continue on the way towards Bonampak, but first you stop at a local restaurant to have lunch (included).

      Once in Bonampak, old Mayan city which means "painted walls", you start the tour around the impressive archeological site which has old construction in the middle of the jungle.

      After the tour, you are driven to the lodge in the jungle, where you will spend this night. You have the rest of the afternoon free.

      Note: We suggest wearing comfortable shoes and clothes that are suitable for the hot weather. Bring mosquito repellent, water bottle, sunhat, sunglasses, and cash.

      Jungle walk- Palenque

      After breakfast (included) at the lodge, you start the jungle tour walk. This walk will take you through the Lacandona jungle, where you will pass by waterfalls and will be able to see monkeys, birds, and different types of vegetation. You will get free time to swim in the river, and then you will return to the lodge.

      After this tour, you will get lunch (included) and rest, before returning to Palenque at 5:00 –5:30 pm, where you will arrive at 8:30 pm approx.

      You leave from the accommodation in Palenque and visit the Roberto Barrios Waterfalls. After a 50 minute drive, you arrive to the waterfalls, which have a unique crystal blue color that invites everyone to swim in. The place is surrounded by trees and amazing jungle vegetation.

      After 2 hrs. in the waterfalls, you return to San Cristobal, arriving to the accommodation at 10:00 - 10:30 pm.

      Note: Wear bathing suit, comfortable clothing and shoes for hot and humid weather.
