Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. You must provide proof of your travel insurance on the first day of your trip; you will not be able to join the trip without it.

What does my policy need to cover?

At a minimum, your travel insurance should be ‘comprehensive’, providing cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.

How do I find out about the visa requirements?

Yes, India requires a visa. You can obtain an electronic visa. We always recommend passengers to check with their local embassy, as visa rules can change without notice. The websites of the embassies of your home country will always have information about the requirements, costs of visas and the necessary forms. To apply for an eVisa, check the following information from the Indian government website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/ ###MX In addition to your passport, all Mexican travelers need to apply for a tourist eVisa in order to visit India, which you must apply for one month prior to your trip. You can do this from the comfort of your home on the Government of India website and it costs around 80 USD. ###CO In addition to your passport, all Colombian travelers need to apply for a tourist eVisa in order to visit India, which you must apply for one month prior to your trip. The procedure is done from the page of the Government of India and has a price of about 80 USD.

What are the medical and vaccination requirements?

Medical and vaccination requirements differ between nations and as we are not medical practitioners, we unfortunately cannot advise on this issue. Please see your local GP or travel doctor for details and advice about current vaccination requirements.

What if I get ill or injured on the trip and I am unable to continue?

Our leaders are trained to deal with these situations, and we will endeavor to get you help as quickly as possible. If you must leave the trip early due to illness, our local offices will help you find appropriate medical care and ensure someone at home is aware of the situation. We will do whatever we can to get you home or on your onward journey. Your travel insurance, which is compulsory on all our trips, should cover any costs incurred if illness occurs.

What type of luggage do you recommend I take?

On most  trips you will be required to carry your own luggage, sometimes up stairs and on and off transport. We therefore recommend you travel with a backpack.

Do I get any free time?

Yes!, the beauty of travelling with us is that we encourage travellers to explore at their own pace. When you get to a destination, your leader will offer options on what you can do.

Will I be able to do any laundry?

Along the way there are usually chances to do laundry, either through your hotel or using local services. Your leader will be able to let you know once you are on the trip.

Will my mobile work?

We can never guarantee your phone will work as desired, as many of our destinations are out of the way and you may have limited coverage. Alternatively, you can usually pick up a local sim card on the cheap.

Will I get internet coverage?

Some places have Wi-Fi hot spots everywhere and other places will have no coverage at all. If you stumble into the latter, take the rare chance to just sit back and get to know your fellow travellers the old-fashioned way.

Will I be able to charge my electrical appliances?

In most places you’ll be able to recharge your appliances at the hotel. We recommend you bring a travel adapter with you.  Be sure to bring an extra camera battery just in case.

Is tipping commonplace?

Yes, in most places tipping is expected. At your welcome meeting, ask your leader about the local custom and advice on how much is recommended at restaurants or with local guides. At the end of your trip, if you’re happy with the service you received, providing a tip for the leader – though not compulsory – is appropriate.

September to April is the best season, when the weather is best. In May and June the temperature may rise up to 35- 45 ºC. In July and August it rains a lot.

There&#x27;s a 20% discount for kids from 2 to 11 years (sharing bed) who are accompanied by parents.

At what time is the check in and check out of the accommodation?

The check in is usually after 2 or 3 pm, this may vary from one place to another. If you get there before this schedule, we suggest leaving your luggage at reception and walking around the area until your room is ready.   Check out is usually at 12 pm, but this also may vary from one place to another. We suggest asking for this information on arrival at the accommodation. It is important to follow this schedule; otherwise, additional charges may apply (to be paid on destination, not included).

What can I do on spare days?

You can choose to have yoga classes/ bollywood dance classes in Jaipur/ cooking classes in Delhi/Jaipur/Agra/Varanasi/ or watch a bollywood movie in the cinema. You can also spend a day with an elephant in jaipur or go for a food tour in different cities by a local tour guide. All you have to do is ask your tour leader and he can suggest different options.

Regarding the meals included, what&#x27;s the menu going to be like?

Breakfast is continental ( eggs, coffee, tea, toast, juice etc.) and dinner or lunch is Indian ( vegetarian and non vegetarian options). It is also possible to have vegan meals, if you request it on booking. Continental or Italian food is also available at some hotels and restaurants where you travel.

What’s the minimum and maximum age?

Kids are allowed and the maximum age is 60.

How will be thetransport you go up to Amber Fort? Are we going to use Elephants?

This itinerary has scheduled the ascent to Amber Fort by Jeep.
Many companies make this journey on elephants that are used for tourist purposes and live in precarious conditions, we are not in favor of this practice.

What type of currency do you suggest me to take? Where can I do the exchange?

The official currency of India is the Indian rupee (₹, INR). We recommend that you change to the local currency before arriving in the country. It is also possible to bring US dollars and change them on arrival in the country. Some businesses accept international credit and debit cards. Smaller cities may not have ATMs, so it is recommended that you carry some cash on hand.
