      Weโ€™ll depart early in the morning towards northern Greece, stopping at Kamena Vourla, a charming seaside tourist hub surrounded by stunning landscapes. Weยดll then proceed north, stopping at the Thermopylae Mountain Pass, the historic site of the famous battle. Next, weยดll visit Kastraki, a picturesque village with beautiful views of the entire valley, where youยดll have free time for lunch. Afterward, weยดll explore the Meteora, a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admission to one of its renowned monasteries is included. Dinner will be provided in Kalabaka.

      Weโ€™ll journey south through the Thessaly region, where youโ€™ll experience stunning landscapes, before reaching Delphi. Here, weยดll explore the exquisite archaeological site overlooking the Gulf of Corinth, with breathtaking views. There will be time for lunch. Following that, weยดll head to the Hosios Loukas Monastery, renowned as one of the most beautiful Byzantine monasteries in Greece and a World Heritage Site. Its magnificent 11th-century mosaics are truly remarkable. Weยดll then continue our journey towards Athens, arriving in the evening.

      Todayยดs journey is quite special because Greece is home to nearly 6,000 islands, more than 100 of which are inhabited. Various ships connect these islands to the mainland, and today weโ€™ll visit two of the Saronic Islands. Our day will start early in the morning by taking a ferry from the hotel to Aegina, an island that has been inhabited for over 4,000 years and is less than an hour away. Youยดll have the chance to explore the picturesque harbor, wander through traditional neighborhoods filled with charming houses and ancient churches or visit the Greek Temple of Apollo. Afterward, weยดll take another ferry for about 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Poros. Enjoy some free time on this charming island, filled with lively tourist activity and old houses that climb up to the clock tower. There will be time for a stroll and lunch, after which weยดll take a short 15-minute journey to Galatas, a small coastal village in the Peloponnese. From there, weยดll continue by road through stunning hillside landscapes until we reach Epidaurus. Admission is included to the Ancient Theatre, built 2,400 years ago and remarkably well-preserved. Itยดs still used today and can host up to 14,000 spectators for performances. Then, weยดll head to Nafplio, a charming coastal city characterized by its citadel and Venetian fortress. Youยดll have free time to explore the area. Dinner will be included. Note: Ferry schedules can change, especially during the low season months when ferries between Aegina and Poros may not operate. In such cases, Aegina Island will be replaced with Hydra Island.

      Weยดll journey across the mountains of the Peloponnese hinterland to Tripoli, the capital of the Arcadia region. There will be free time to explore Areos Square with its cafes and restaurants. Afterward, weยดll continue to Olympia, where weยดll visit the Archaeological Site (ticket and guided tour included). This is where the first Olympic Games were held in 776 BC, attracting athletes from across Greece and its colonies. The most impressive landmarks here include the Temple of Zeus, the Stadium, the Gymnasium, and the Arena. Our next destination will be Patras, Greeceโ€™s third-largest city. Itยดs a bustling port city overlooked by a medieval fortress, home to Greeceยดs largest cathedral, a significant pilgrimage site, along with the nearby old church of St. Andrew. Dinner will be included.

      After breakfast, weโ€™ll cross the Rio-Antirrio bridge, a spectacular cable-stayed bridge that connects the Peloponnese with the Greek mainland. Our first stop is Nafpaktos, located on the Gulf of Corinth. Its Venetian fortress overlooking the city is a reminder of its historical significance as Lepanto, where the Christian and Turkish fleets clashed in battleโ€”a conflict during which the famous Cervantes lost his arm. Youโ€™ll have free time to stroll around its picturesque harbor and explore the beautiful old town. Continuing along the Gulf of Corinth, weโ€™ll reach Mycenae, a colossal citadel dating back to the 18th century BC, considered the cradle of European civilization (admission included). Enjoy free time for lunch and to explore the site. Next, weโ€™ll visit the imposing Fortress of Acrocorinth (tickets included), where the remains of an ancient temple of Aphrodite stand on the highest point of the settlement. Weโ€™ll then continue our journey, making a brief stop at the Corinth Canal. Weโ€™ll arrive in Athens in the evening.

      Weยดll include a panoramic tour of Athens during which weยดll visit the Presidential Mansion, the Panathenaic Stadiumโ€”site of the first modern Olympic Gamesโ€”the National Library, the bustling downtown squares and the new infrastructure developments introduced by the 2004 Olympics. The tour will end near the Acropolis (admission not included). In the afternoon, weโ€™ll transfer you to the Port of Piraeus to board an overnight ferry, equipped with amenities similar to those found on cruise ships. Accommodation will be in a double cabin. Night on board.

In the afternoon, around 4:00 p.m., weโ€™ll take an express ferry to Turkey, a journey that will last about an hour. Upon arrival in Marmaris, a beautiful coastal tourist destination known for its castle, marina, and fountains, weโ€™ll settle into our accommodations in the region. Dinner will be included.IMPORTANT: The ferry schedule between Rhodes and Marmaris is frequently subject to change and may not operate daily (except during the summer months). As a result, this part of the itinerary may need to be adjusted accordingly.

From there, weโ€™ll continue by boat to a large lake, where weโ€™ll stop at the hot springs. Youโ€™ll have the option to swim in the warm waters or indulge in a mud bath. There will also be time to enjoy a meal at one of the many riverside restaurants. Next, weโ€™ll head to Antalya to get to know this vibrant coastal city of over a million residents. Highlights include Hadrianโ€™s Gate, the Ottoman district, and its breathtaking waterfall that cascades directly into the sea. Dinner will be included.

As we travel through stunning landscapes, weโ€™ll cross the Taurus Mountains, with peaks that rise over 3,500 meters and remain snow-covered for most of the year. Weโ€™ll stop in Karaman to see its fortress from the outside before continuing to the Cappadocia region. Dinner will be included in Nigde.

Weโ€™ll begin with a visit to Gumusler, a fascinating 7th-century underground monastery featuring some of the finest Byzantine frescoes in Turkey. In Kaymacli, weโ€™ll explore the underground city that could once house up to 30,000 people. Then, weโ€™ll visit Uchisar, a natural fortress offering breathtaking views. After lunch, weโ€™ll discover the Gรถreme Valley, home to an open-air museum where we can marvel at the rock-cut churches (tickets included). Our accommodation will be in Avanos and dinner will be included.

      At the far edge of Cappadocia, weโ€™ll visit the Ihlara Valley, famous for its cool waters and its rock-cut churches and villages. In the evening, we recommend attending a dervish dance performance at the cultural center.

There, youยดll have time to dine at one of its many restaurants and see the charming old tram that runs through the area. Alternatively, you can visit the nearby Galata Tower.

      Today, weโ€™ll embark on a boat trip on the Bosphorus (tickets included), lasting about two hours on a private boat exclusively for Europamundo travelers. This journey will take us through the strait that connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, dividing Istanbul between its European and Asian sides. Weโ€™ll enjoy the lively activity of the strait with its many boats. Weโ€™ll pass under the two bridges that link Europe and Asia and admire the Sultanโ€™s palaces, traditional wooden houses, and Ottoman architecture. Afterward, weโ€™ll return to central Istanbul for some free time.
