      Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour

Begin your day by exploring Swayambhunath, the renowned 2000-year-old Buddhist Stupa affectionately known as the "monkey temple." Its towering white dome and radiant golden spire can be seen from afar, gracing the valley from all directions. Adorning the four-sided base of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Positioned above each pair of eyes is the โ€™third eye,โ€™ symbolizing the wisdom of introspection.

Continue your journey to Durbar Square, the historical "meeting place" at the heart of old Kathmandu. This vibrant square houses a collection of temples and shrines adorned with intricate carvings. Noteworthy structures include the temple of Kasthamandap, believed to be crafted from a single tree; the three-storied Akash Bhairav Temple, dedicated to the God of the sky; and Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal palace named after the monkey god. Explore Nasal Chowk, a courtyard used for historic coronations, featuring stunning Rana constructions.

Experience the tradition of worshiping young girls as manifestations of the divine female energy, or "Devi," at the Kumari House (Temple). In the afternoon, venture to Patan City, also known as Lalitpur, one of the oldest Buddhist cities globally, celebrated for its fine arts, crafts, and cultural heritage. Explore Durbar Square and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, concluding your tour with a visit to the Tibetan Handicraft Centre. Witness the intricate hand-weaving techniques employed in crafting Tibetan carpets and the artistry involved in molding metal statues. The centerโ€™s primary mission is to provide job opportunities for Tibetan refugees.

      Continue City Tour

Embark on a morning exploration of Bhadgaon, also known as Bhaktapur, meaning the "city of devotees." Founded in the 9th century and designed in the shape of a conch shell, this city is a treasure trove of medieval art and architecture. Visit Durbar Square, adorned with an array of temples, and marvel at the Palace of 55 Windows. This palace exemplifies the Pagoda style, standing on five terraces, each hosting a pair of figures, including strong men, elephants, lions, griffins, and goddesses.

One of the esteemed World Heritage Sites, the Pashupatinath Temple, awaits your exploration. This sacred Hindu shrine houses the ornate pagoda containing the sacred linga, symbolizing Lord Shiva. Serving as a symbol of unity, it brings together various Hindu sects under a single fold, nestled in the lush green surroundings on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. While non-Hindus cannot enter the temple, a special vantage point offers a view. Observe devotees partaking in ritual dips along the holy Bagmati riverbanks, significant for Hindu cremations.

Before returning to your hotel, visit Boudhnath, one of the worldโ€™s largest stupas. Adorned with four pairs of eyes in the cardinal directions, it symbolizes vigilance over righteous behavior and human prosperity. The stupa is constructed on an octagonal base featuring prayer wheels inset within.
