  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu & Transfer To Nagarkot Hotel.

      A representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will meet you at the airport. We will then go directly to our hotel in Nagarkot.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive From Nagarkot To Janakpur.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Drive From Nagarkot To Janakpur.

      After breakfast on the balcony and watching the sunrise we will head to Janakpur, about a 5 to 6-hour drive. At Janakpur we will visit the Janaki Hindu temple and in the evening watch a fascinating arati performance (fire dance/ritual).

  • Day 3 Day 3: Explore Janaki Temple And Drive To Chitwan.

      After breakfast, we head to Chitwan, a 5 hour (238km) journey. Chitwan is renowned for its jungles and wildlife park. We will stay overnight at a hotel at Chitwan.

      An elephant safari, canoeing in the Rapti River, the elephant breeding center, a jungle walk, and a Tharu culture program will keep us busy today. 

  • Day 5 Day 5: Drive From Chitwan To Lumbini.

      After breakfast we head to Lumbini (the birth place of Lord Buddha in 623 B.C) and will explore the significant temples and Buddhist monasteries.

      Today we head to Pokhara, Nepalโ€™s second-largest city, and a popular meeting place for trekkers before heading into the Himalayas. It is about a 6 hour (168km) drive. We will stay in a hotel at Pokhara for the night.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Pokhara City Sightseeing.

       From Pokhara, you can see the Annapurna Ranges in the distance. There are eight mountains that appear so close when viewed at sunrise. You will be able to identify Mt. Machapuchare (Fish Tail) in the distance. Our next stop is Deviโ€™s Falls just two kilometers from Pokhara. The water plunges directly down into a narrow passage and is considered a risky place to swim. A tourist by the name of David drowned here, hence it also being referred to as David Falls. We will then head back to Phewa Tal where we will take a boat trip along the 1.5-kilometer lake. At one end of the lake is the Seti Gandaki River. A visit to Bat Cave is also interesting โ€“ if you are not afraid of bats! 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Drive From Pokhara To Kathmandu.

      Day 8: Drive From Pokhara To Kathmandu.

      Today we will drive to Kathmandu, around 6 hours on the road, and 220km from Pokhara. On the way we cross the Trisuli River which is famous for rafting and kayaking. We will stay at a hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu tonight.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.

      Today we will go sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley with our guide. We will visit Pashupatinath, which is said to be the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal and where pilgrims worship Lord Shiva (situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River), Bouddhanath, a Buddhist temple locally known as โ€˜Little Tibetโ€™ and then on to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). From Swayambhunath we head off to Kathmanduโ€™s famous Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site and located close to the old royal palace. We will also visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Final Departure Day.

      Day 10: Final Departure Day.

      Today is the last day of what can be considered a pilgrimage trip around Nepal. A representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will take you to the airport at least 3 hours prior to your scheduled departure.
