You can enjoy this experience throughout the year, however it is recommended during the months of December to March, since the days are sunnier and you can enjoy outdoor activities. Winter is from June to September, in the North Island you can find snow in some areas.

The climate tends to vary between temperatures ranging from 14 to 28°C during the summer season. During the winter, the average temperature is 10 to 12°C.

Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

The experience begins in Auckland, upon arrival at Auckland International Airport (AKL) you will be met by a tour representative who will take you to the hostel.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

New Zealand does not require any type of vaccination to enter the country, however it is advisable to have the routine vaccinations, including tetanus, typhoid, chicken pox, hepatitis A and B.

During your experience it is essential to notify your guide as soon as possible of any discomfort or eventuality that occurs, so they can assist you and give you the necessary support. In very serious cases, medical attention and support will be arranged in case you need to extend your stay in the country.

The currency used in New Zealand is the New Zealand Dollar (NZ$, NZD). It is possible to bring USD and exchange it upon arrival in the country. Some commercial establishments accept international credit and debit cards, you can also find ATMs where you can withdraw money. We recommend to always have some cash on hand.

The experience does not include international or domestic flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, meals and beverages not mentioned. As for extra expenses, we recommend an approximate daily allowance of $40 usd.

The groups are between 04  to about 18  people approximately.

Depending on the day, once the scheduled activities are over, you will generally be able to enjoy free time to relax and take pictures. This time will be announced by the guide at the beginning of your experience.

During your free time you can get to know the city better, visit a restaurant, walk the streets, some recommendations: 
Auckland: climb the SKy Tower, climb Mount Eden, visit the City Hall, Albert Park, Tori Art Gallery, among others. 
Rotorua: Hike through the forest, climb the Skyline Rotorua cable car, visit Mount Ngongotaha, enjoy the hot springs. 
Taupo: Visit Huka Falls, tour Lake Taupo by boat, walk along the river, go to the mud pools, enter the hot springs, and more. 
Consult your guide for more information about the places you can visit. Activities and visits during free time are not included.

This experience includes 05 breakfasts and 03 dinners. The dishes are varied, with options for vegetarians and vegans.

The price of the food varies according to the dish and place, you can find well served meals between $11 and $20 usd.

Of course you can travel alone and enjoy this experience to the fullest, you will have to share a room with some of your fellow travelers.
