As this is a self-drive trip in a rental car, an EU driving license or an international driving license is mandatory to embark on this trip.

The Andalusia trip starts in the Mediterranean city of Mรกlaga, the lively metropolis that has developed a special charm as a cosmopolitan port city. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe with over 2500 years of history. Go on a voyage of discovery!

  • Day 2 Mรกlaga - Granada
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Mรกlaga - Granada

After breakfast at the hotel, you have the option of visiting the city or the Picasso Museum or driving directly to Granada.

Granada, picturesquely situated in front of snow-covered mountain peaks, is a symbol of Moorish Spain until 1492. Not only the Alhambra with the Generalife, the former summer residence, but also the Albayzin, the former Moorish quarter, bear witness to the rich cultural heritage of this city. Todayโ€™s university city is also considered one of Spainโ€™s intellectual centers.

Overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel of your choice in Granada.

  • Day 3 Granada
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Granada

After breakfast, the journey of discovery through Granada can begin. Visit to the Alhambra with the royal courts, the Palace of Charles V and the Generalife, the magnificent gardens of the sultansโ€™ summer residence. Possibility to walk through the picturesque old quarter of the Albayzรญn, with its winding alleyways and enchanting courtyards Visit to the new old town with the cathedral, the Capilla Real with the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs, the Medrese and the former caravanserai. Lunchtime in Granada - the perfect time for a typical Spanish tapas! We invite you to an old, traditional bodega in the center of the city. This is where the Granadinos meet - not the tourists! Enjoy a tapas with a drink.

Overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel of your choice in Granada.

  • Day 4 Granada - รšbeda - Jaรฉn
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Granada - รšbeda - Jaรฉn

After breakfast at the hotel, continue towards Jaen. You have the opportunity to visit Ubeda, one of the most important Renaissance towns in Spain with a long tradition of craftsmanship. Numerous aristocratic palaces with lavishly decorated facades characterize the cityscape. We also recommend a visit to one of the most traditional oil mills in Andalusia, followed by an olive oil tasting.

Continue to Jaen, the capital of olive growing. The former Santa Catarina castle, which towers over Jaen above the old town, is now the Parador, one of the most beautiful in Andalusia. Jaรฉn Cathedral is also worth a visit.

Overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel of your choice in Jaรฉn.

  • Day 5 Jaรฉn - Cรณrdoba
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Jaรฉn - Cรณrdoba

After breakfast, continue through wide, typical Andalusian landscapes and seemingly endless olive groves to the fertile Guadalquivir valley towards Cรณrdoba. In Cรณrdoba, Moorish Spain experienced its first and probably never again achieved spiritual, cultural and economic heyday.

The former caliphate palace city of Medinat az-Zahra lies in an imposing location in the Sierra Morena just outside Cรณrdoba. Possibility to visit the interpretation center and the excavation site.

Continue to Cรณrdoba and possible visit to the mosque-cathedral with its impressive forest of columns.

Overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel of your choice in Cรณrdoba.

  • Day 6 Cordoba - Seville
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Cordoba - Seville

After breakfast at the hotel, continue your journey towards Seville, the capital of Andalusia and Spainโ€™s fourth-largest city with a population of around 735,000. Wide avenues along the River Guadalquivir welcome you on your arrival in the city and on the drive to your hotel. We recommend a visit to the Santa Cruz district, the former Jewish quarter of Seville and todayโ€™s nightlife district with many tapas bars and restaurants.

Overnight stay and breakfast in a hotel of your choice in Seville.

  • Day 7 Seville
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Seville

After breakfast at the hotel, explore Seville.

Worth seeing is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world with the cityโ€™s landmark, the Giralda, the former minaret of the Almohad mosque and the Alcรกzar, one of the most outstanding examples of Andalusian Mudejar architecture. A walk through Marรญa Luisa Park takes you to the sites of the 1929 Universal Exposition, such as Plaza Espaรฑa and Plaza de Amรฉrica and its pavilions.

  • Day 8 Seville - Jerez De La Frontera - Arcos De La Frontera
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Seville - Jerez De La Frontera - Arcos De La Frontera

After breakfast at the hotel, continue southwest towards the Atlantic to Jerez de la Frontera, which is nicknamed "on the border" because this is where the border between Moorish and Christian Spain used to run. The town, which stands for rural Andalusia, is known today for its horse stud farms and bull farms, as well as for its typical wines, which were given the name sherry by the English. The Alcรกzar, a palace fortress from the 11th century and a testimony to the Moorish history of the time with a mezquita and Arab baths, towers over a hill in the city.

During a visit to what is probably the most beautiful "cathedral of wine", as the famous bodegas are popularly known, a leisurely stroll through the warehouses provides an expert introduction to the production of the most famous of Spainโ€™s southern wines and the Andalusian brandy.

Continue to Arcos de la Frontera, an important town in Moorish times and today known as one of the white villages and well worth seeing. Overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel of your choice in Arcos de la Frontera.

  • Day 9 Arcos De La Frontera To Ronda
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Arcos De La Frontera To Ronda

After breakfast at the hotel, continue via Arcos de la Frontera to the picturesque mountain town of Ronda. Ronda impresses with its spectacular location, the old town reminiscent of the Middle Ages with its numerous bridges, churches and palaces as well as the unforgettable views of the mountainous surroundings from many points in the town. The imposing "Puente Nuevo" bridge, built in the 18th century, offers impressive views into the hundred-meter-deep Tagus Gorge. In addition to a tour of the city, we recommend a visit to the oldest bullring in Spain and the former collegiate church of Santa Marรญa la Mayor. Ronda is not without reason the crowning glory of your trip.

Overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel of your choice in Ronda.
