Transport

Air-conditioned safari jeep, pop-up roof, cooler fridge & charging ports. Our vehicles are specifically designed safari jeeps, tough and efficient enough to withstand the roads we travel in. Air-conditioned 4x4 safari jeep, cooler fridge charging ports and pop-up roofs to increase visibility during game viewing. Everyone is guaranteed a window seat in the safari vehicle.

  • Day 1 Arrival In Arusha

      Welcome to Tanzania! You will be picked up from the airport by a African Polecat Safaris representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime!

  • Day 2 Arusha To Tarangire National Park.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Arusha To Tarangire National Park.

      After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation. Todayโ€™s destination is Tarangire National Park, about a two-and-a-half-hour drive on well-maintained roads. The park, named after the Tarangire River, is vital as the main water source for wildlife during the dry season. Here, youโ€™ll encounter elephant families, often gathering by the river. Keep an eye out for giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, along with predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire boasts a diverse bird population, with more breeding species than anywhere else. Donโ€™t miss the majestic Baobab trees, some over a thousand years old! Lunch will be at a picnic site within the park before heading to your luxury lodge in Mto wa Mbu after the game drive.


      As the day draws to a close, weโ€™ll head back to our accommodations at Figtree Budget Lodge

  • Day 3 Mto Wa Mbu To Serengeti National Park

      Mto Wa Mbu To Serengeti National Park

      Tanzaniaโ€™s oldest park, covering a whopping 1.5 million hectares, itโ€™s home to an incredible diversity of animals. As well as the famous wildebeest migration.


      After breakfast, we depart to Serengeti between 8:45 & 9:00am, Along the way we will pause for 15-20 minutes at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint to soak in the breathtaking view of the crater. We will arrive in time for lunch at Serengeti Nabi gate and a little walk stretch our legs.


      Proceed for a game drive including a sunset game drive while heading to your selected accommodation for dinner & overnight inside the endless plains of the Serengeti.


      Optional activity.

      Maasai boma visit: a walk in the Maasai culture well known for drinking raw cow blood.

      Olduvai Gorge Museum is available at an extra cost.

  • Day 4 Serengeti National Park

      Serengeti National Park

      This entire day is set aside for game drives in the Serengeti. The Serengeti boasts an abundance of wildlife such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have a good chance of encountering predators and you may see lions, cheetahs, and leopards. It is a truly life-changing experience


      We highly recommend the early morning game drive, which offers the best chances to spot animals when they are most active. The soft morning light also provides excellent opportunities for stunning and romantic photographs of the Serengeti sunrise.


      Today, it is possible to do early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to the camp for lunch. Otherwise, you can have a full dayโ€™s game drive with a picnic lunch in the park.


      Overnight at Seronera Campsites

  • Day 5 Serengeti To Ngorongoro Highlands

      Serengeti To Ngorongoro Highlands

      Our day begins with an early sunrise game drive, as the park comes to life and nocturnal predators like lions finish their night hunts. After the morning game drive, we proceed back to your accommodation for breakfast.


      In the afternoon we will stop at Naabi Gate for lunch. After lunch proceed with a transit game viewing while heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay. We arrive at our Accommodation in the early evening, for dinner and sunset.

  • Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater โ€“ Back To Arusha.

      Get ready for an epic day of adventure! Our safari kicks off bright and early between 6:30-7:00 am as we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. The earlier, the greater our chances of spotting the elusive black rhinos! Picture yourself in the comfort of our open-roof 4x4 land cruiser, ready to explore the wonders of the Crater. Standing 600-650 meters high, itโ€™s like stepping into a natural zoo! The landscape here changes with the seasons, offering scenes youโ€™ll only find in Tanzania. After a thrilling morning of wildlife encounters, weโ€™ll pause for a picnic lunch by the famous hippo pool โ€“ a spot teeming with life and excitement. With satisfied appetites, weโ€™ll embark on more game drives, soaking in the beauty of this unique ecosystem. After our exhilarating day, our guide will drive you to Arusha.
