As the day comes to a close, you’ll retire to the Kizumba campsite in Karatu.
Day 2 North Serengeti National Park

Your journey heads northward, taking you to the renowned northern Serengeti. Along the way, engaging in game drives offers opportunities to spot wildlife in the changing landscapes. As you near the northern Serengeti, you’ll encounter an increasing concentration of animals. Your accommodation in the northern Serengeti provides a base for your explorations and a comfortable place to spend the night in Lobo public campsite.

The heart of your adventure lies in the northern Serengeti, where the Great Migration takes center stage. You’ll dedicate this day to exploring the vast plains and riverine areas, known for attracting the wildebeest and zebras during their quest for fresh grazing and water. Game drives offer you a front-row seat to witness the migration herds and their search for sustenance. Keep your eyes peeled for apex predators such as lions and cheetahs who often shadow the herds. As the sun sets, you’ll return to Lobo Public Campsite in the northern Serengeti.

You will spend the day at the Mara River, a stage for the unforgettable river crossings of the wildebeest and zebras. Here, you’ll witness these brave animals congregating along the riverbanks and braving the perils of crocodiles and swift currents. The Mara River crossings are one of the most thrilling and iconic moments of the Great Migration, etching vivid memories in your safari experience. Following this exhilarating spectacle and additional game drives in the area, dinner, and overnight stay at the Nyani camp for the night.

On your final day in the Central Serengeti, immerse yourself in the wildlife-rich landscapes once more with additional game drives. After a satisfying lunch, you’ll commence your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or evening. Your safari concludes as you return to Arusha, where you can choose to stay in the city.
