Athens - Mycenae - Epidaurus - Nafplio - Ancient Olympia

Pick up: Our skilled driver will collect you either from your hotel or Athens Airport to kickstart an unforgettable journey along the scenic Attica coastline.

Corinth Canal: Our first stop unveils the majestic Corinth Canal, a feat of engineering linking the Saronic and Corinthian gulfs. From the canalโ€™s 80-meter-high bridge, extending over 6 kilometers, youโ€™ll relish an awe-inspiring view that beckons for memorable photos.

Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus: Continuing our voyage, weโ€™ll marvel at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, an architectural marvel dating back to the 4th century BC, famed for its astounding acoustics.

Nafplio, one of Greeceโ€™s most charming towns and its inaugural capital, awaits as our next destination. Explore the iconic Palamidi Castle, conquerable via an arduous ascent of 999 steps, get memorable photos from captivating โ€™Bourtziโ€™ fortress in the bay and enjoy your lunch next to sea!

Mycenae: Following your rest in Nafplio, our path leads us to the legendary Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Uncover the mesmerizing Lion Gate, the monumental Cyclopean Walls, the majestic Palace, and Agamemnonโ€™s storied tomb at this archaeological wonder.

Leaving Mycenae, weโ€™ll journey to Olympia, the revered birthplace of the Olympic Games, for an overnight stay, poised for further adventures.

  • Day 2 Ancient Olympia - Delphi
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Ancient Olympia - Delphi

After your breakfast, continue your  journey to Ancient Olympia, the hallowed grounds where the inaugural Olympic Games unfolded in 776 B.C. Nestled in the serene valley carved by the Alfios river, this site holds profound historical significance.

Our exploration begins at the awe-inspiring Temple of Zeus, once home to the legendary gold and ivory statue of Zeus, a masterpiece by Phidias and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Discover the Temple of Hera, the ancient shrine of Pelops, the Council house where athletes pledged their Olympic oath, the Treasury houses, the Gymnasium, and the Palestra, where athletes rigorously trained for a month before the Games. Lastly, tread the Stadium, its original marble starting blocks still in place. Despite its remote location, Olympia emerged as Greeceโ€™s paramount religious and athletic center.

Leaving Olympia, consider an optional visit to the historic wine castle, Greeceโ€™s oldest winery. We then cross the impressive Rio-Antirio Bridge to reach Nafpaktos, a coastal gem nestled beneath a Venetian Castle. Enjoy a seaside lunch before we continue our journey to Delphi for the night, poised for more adventures ahead.

  • Day 3 Delphi - Meteora
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Delphi - Meteora

Delphi: After enjoying your breakfast, our journey continues as we make our way to Delphi, often referred to as the "History of the Center of the Ancient World." In the 6th century B.C., Delphi held a unique position as the religious epicenter and symbol of unity in the ancient Greek world.

During our visit, weโ€™ll explore a range of significant sites, including the Tholos of the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the ancient Theatre of Delphi, the Treasury of the Athenians, and the Ancient Gymnasium of Delphi. Our tour will also take us to the Castalian Spring fountain, a sacred source pivotal to Delphiโ€™s religious rituals and the oracleโ€™s proceedings.

Of paramount importance, we will visit the Temple of Apollo, which stood as the central edifice within the sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi. In the eyes of the ancient world, this temple was considered the very heart of the Earth.

Archaeological Museum of Delphi: Our exploration of Delphi culminates with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, a prestigious institution housing an extensive collection that delves into the history of the Delphic sanctuary.

Charming Village of Arachova: Following our Delphi adventure, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch in the Delphi area or at the charming Village of Arachova, where you can savor the local specialty, Arachovaโ€™s Formaela cheese, in various delightful forms.

Afterward, weโ€™ll set off for Meteora, where weโ€™ll spend the night in Kalambaka, ready to continue our journey through this captivating region.

  • Day 4 Meteora - Athens
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Meteora - Athens

Varlaam Monastery: Today our adventure begins with a visit to Varlaam Monastery, a monumental structure perched atop a soaring rock, its foundations dating back to the 16th century. As you stand at an elevation of 380 meters, the world below fades into insignificance, and youโ€™ll understand why Meteora is renowned as a place of profound spirituality and contemplation.

Great Meteoron Monastery: Continuing our voyage, we arrive at the iconic Great Meteoron Monastery, often referred to as the "Monastery of the Transfiguration of Jesus." This 14th-century marvel, founded by Saint Athanasios Meteorites, holds a special place in the hearts of those seeking to understand the rich tapestry of religious and cultural history in the Meteora region. Enjoy your lunch before leave Meteora.

Thermopylae: Leaving Meteora, we journey back to Athens, but not before a brief stop at Thermopylae. Here, the Leonidas Monument stands as an enduring tribute to the legendary Battle of the 300 Spartans.

As the day wanes, we return you to your Athens hotel, bringing an end to this remarkable odyssey through time!
