The driver of the rental car MUST be at least 26 years old and in possession of a credit card. Other cards are NOT accepted. These must be presented when collecting the rental car so that the deposit shown can be blocked. Other car rental inclusive services: - Unlimited kilometers - Fully comprehensive and vehicle theft protection with reimbursement of the excess, incl. damage to glass, roof, tires, underbody (incl. oil pan and clutch) - Reimbursement of towing costs - Reimbursement of costs for the loss of or damage to vehicle keys and documents - Reimbursement of damage and theft of car radio and navigation system (mobile or built-in) in connection with burglary damage - Reimbursement of the accident handling fee - Standard national liability cover and additional liability insurance of 7.5 million euros - Personal accident insurance (PAI): including cover of up to 20,000 euros per person in the rental car - Local taxes and airport charges Any tourism taxes incurred are to be paid directly on site by the guest. The itinerary can be extended at various stops or certain day points can be omitted. You are also welcome to make this trip with your own vehicle/car and we will take care of your accommodation and any ferries (depending on the destination). Please ask us about this. Single rooms are always possible on request. This will cost approximately double the price, as you will only be using the rental car and room for one person instead of two.

  • Day 1 Arrival To Florence

      Discover Florence on your own! After your individual arrival, we will be happy to organize an offer from your desired departure airport. After your arrival in Florence, a cab will take you to your centrally located accommodation, where you can settle in. Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to explore the capital of Tuscany. Stroll through the picturesque alleyways or enjoy the culinary delights in one of the many restaurants to get you in the mood for your upcoming trip.

      After a delicious breakfast, enjoy a tour of Florence, famous for its cathedral, the Uffizi Gallery with masterpieces such as Michelangeloโ€™s "David" and the charming Ponte Vecchio. Relax in the Giardino di Boboli park and experience the culinary variety in the Mercato Centrale market hall before ending the evening in one of the cozy bars or restaurants.

      After a hearty breakfast, make your way to Florence airport to pick up your rental car and drive to the enchanting Chianti region. Picturesque Tuscan landscapes with cypresses, olive groves and endless vineyards await you on the way. Your first stop will take you to Castellina, where you can explore the imposing fortress ruins, followed by a visit to the Etruscan Museum, which will introduce you to the townโ€™s fascinating past. Your journey then continues to the medieval town of Radda and the nearby Castello di Volpaia, where you can explore the historic walls. Towards the end of the afternoon, you will finally reach Siena, where you will settle into your accommodation and have time for a relaxing stroll through the city. Marvel at the breathtaking cathedral made of black and white marble and stroll through the world-famous Piazza del Campo, where the traditional horse race Il Palio takes place every year, which was even followed by James Bond in "Quantum of Solace".

  • Day 4 Siena - Montalcino - Pienza - Abbadia San Salvatore (F)

      This morning you set off from Siena and continue your journey south. You can take your first break in the Riserva Naturale Basso Merse nature reserve, where you can stretch your legs, take a refreshing dip in the bathing bays or marvel at the impressive waterfalls. Continue to Montalcino, where you can visit an imposing medieval fortress. Architecture enthusiasts should make a detour to Pienza, which is considered a model Renaissance town with its unique perspectives and accurate buildings. On the way south, you will also find the thermal town of Bagno Vignoni, whose hot springs and hidden grottoes were already known to the Etruscans and Romans. In the late afternoon, you will finally reach Abbadia San Salvatore, where you will spend the night. Take a relaxing stroll through the medieval center of the mountain village and indulge in culinary delights in one of the small restaurants. Ricciolina is highly recommended for dessert!

  • Day 5 Abbadia San Salvatore - Sorano - Saturnia - Porto Santo Stefano - Obetello Area (F)

      After a hearty breakfast, you set off towards the coast today. On the way, you will pass the picturesque town of Sovana, which impresses with its almost museum-like flair. Nearby are the mystical Cavone, hollow paths carved into the tuff by the Etruscans, which tell a fascinating story. The area is rich in tufa, from which tombs, monuments and entire villages were built. In Saturnia, the impressive sinter terraces, which were already mentioned in Danteโ€™s Divine Comedy, await you. In the afternoon, you will finally reach the charming coastal town of Porto Santo Stefano via a narrow causeway. Here, enticing bays, crystal-clear sea water and fine sandy beaches invite you to relax. After a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean, you can stroll along the Porto Vecchio marina to the lively old town or visit the imposing Spanish fortress. Your hotel is located near Porto Santo Stefano in the Orbetello area.

  • Day 6 Orbetello - Grosseto - Elba - Massa Marittima Area (F)

      Today you continue your journey north along the coast. On the way, you can stop at a buffalo farm near Grosseto to learn interesting facts about the production of buffalo cheese and marvel at the gentle buffaloes. If you want to go for another swim, you can make a detour to the harbor town of Follonica, which not only has a long sandy beach, but also monuments and modern art museums. In Piombino, you can take an exciting boat trip to Elba, where you can follow in Napoleonโ€™s footsteps or visit his residence, the Palazzina dei Mulini. Finally, your overnight stay awaits you in Massa Marittima, where a historic old town with typical Tuscan flair awaits you and you can enjoy a view from the clock tower as far as the Tyrrhenian Sea.

  • Day 7 Massa Marittima - Volterra - San Gimignano - Pisa - Lucca (F)

      After breakfast, continue your journey north. On the way to the province of Pisa lies the largest Tuscan nature reserve, the Riserva Naturale di Monterufoli, with hidden waterfalls and hiking trails through the Mediterranean forest. Continue to the mysterious town of Volterra, famous from the "Twilight" books. Visit the impressive Medici fortress, the Teatro Romano or the Palazzo dei Priori. Alternatively, you can continue to the hilltop town of San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers. Or you can visit the Tuscan city of Pisa with its world-famous Leaning Tower and the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Overnight stay in Lucca, where you can explore the picturesque alleyways in the late afternoon. The old town with its tower and ancient sights is well worth a visit. End the day in one of the cozy restaurants.

  • Day 8 Journey Home (F)

      Your fascinating round trip through Tuscany ends today. From Lucca, you make your way back towards Florence airport. Halfway between Lucca and Florence lies the picturesque town of Montecatini Terme, nestled in green forests and hills. Here you can take the oldest funicular railroad in Italy, which will take you to the mountain village of Montecatini Alto. Depending on your flight time, this may be a last opportunity for a stopover before your journey home. After your arrival at the airport, hand over your rental car and fly back home with sunny memories in your luggage.
