All prices are based on shared accommodation in 6 or 8 share dorm style rooms. Twin and private room upgrades are available to book but are subject to availability and single supplement charges. Day 1 Sydney

Today our East Coast Explorer tour kicks off in Sydney with a City Orientation tour. We will visit all of the cities famous landmarks and finish at the the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House! Tonight, we depart the city on our journey up the East Coast. First stop, the vibrant Byron Bay.
Day 2 Byron Bay

Byron Bay

After settling into our beachfront Byron Bay home, we enjoy an afternoon exploring town and the beach! We will visit the famous lighthouse on Cape Byron, an area so naturally stunning it’s begging us to explore on foot. There is no greater way to take it all in by doing the coastal walking track.
Day 3 Surfers Paradise And Nightlife!

Surfers Paradise And Nightlife!

As we bid farewell to Byron Bay, our travels continue on to Surfers Paradise, home to panoramic ocean views and vibrant Aussie nightlife! After we arrive into Surfers Paradise, we will explore the main beach and local entertainment quarter. After spending the afternoon chilling on the beach we will head out on our Surfers Paradise pub crawl!

Today we will get acquainted with the local Aussie way of life with a 2 hour Surf Lesson.
Day 4 City Lagoons And Australia Zoo

City Lagoons And Australia Zoo

We continue our travels up the coast to Brisbane, the capital of the Queensland state. We spend our first day exploring the Southbank cultural precinct of the city featuring man-made Streets Beach (outdoor swimming pool!), walking tracks and picnic areas.

Our second day is spent at the home of the crocodile hunter, Australia Zoo! We’ll spend the day learning about the conservation efforts of the famous Irwin family and getting up close to a variety of native Australian wildlife including kangaroos, koalas and wombats! Before heading back take a look at the Irwin Animal Hospital. Here you can view live surgeries helping sick and injured native animals.
Day 5 K’Gari Fraser Island

K’Gari Fraser Island

Today we arrive into Rainbow Beach, a gateway to the World’s largest sand island. We explore the famous Rainbow Steps and the unique moonscape Carlo Sand Blow after which we settle into our accommodation for the night and get ready for an exciting few days ahead on stunning Fraser Island.
Day 6 4X4 On K’Gari

4X4 On K’Gari

The next three days are spent exploring world famous Fraser Island. We’ll swim the crystal waters, discover secret lakes, explore the Maheno shipwreck and hike to island lookouts for stunning panoramic views across the island.
Day 7 Rainbow Beach

Rainbow Beach

We return to Rainbow Beach for a night before catching an overnight bus to Airlie Beach.
Day 8 Airlie Beach

Airlie Beach

We continue our journey to Airlie Beach, home to the Whitsundays Islands. Our afternoon is spent in Airlie Beach, chilling by the Harbourfront lagoon, wandering around the local shops and checking out some of the great backpacker bars.
Day 9 Sail The Whitsundays

Sail The Whitsundays

We settle into the vibrant coastal town before boarding our sailing boat for a two night sailing adventure exploring some of the 74 islands that make up the Whitsundays! Here you will be treated to the perfect mixture of adventure and relaxation; Take it easy on deck while you sail around the islands, stopping off to snorkel, swim and explore the world famous Whitehaven beach. In the evening unwind with a few bevs as the sun sets across the ocean.
Day 10 Back To The Mainland

Back To The Mainland

Enjoy breakfast and the amazing scenery around you before sliding into our fourth and final snorkelling/swimming location, then setting sail back to Airlie Beach. Arrive back approximately 11am - but the fun is not over yet! After we return to our accommodation and freshen up, we meet our sailing crew out for an after party!
Day 11 Cairns And Great Barrier Reef

Today we travel to backpacker heaven at our final stop on the tour, Cairns- The Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest! Check into our resort-style accomodation, chill by the stunning lagoon and settle in ready for an awesome few days ahead! Discover the Great Barrier Reef on our snorkel day trip of the outer reef and encounter marine life such as turtles, stingrays and clownfish!
Day 12 Adventure On!

During our time in Cairns you’ll have the opportunity to customise your experience and add some additional activities to your adventure. From Skydiving and Bungy Jumps to White Water Rafting and Rainforest Tours, Cairns has endless adventures on offer!

Day 13 Snorkel Tour

Snorkel Tour

Discover UNESCO World Heritage Great Barrier Reef on our snorkel day trip of the outer reef. Encounter marinelife such as turtles, stingrays and clown fish at the best snorkel spots, enjoy a buffet lunch onboard and learn all about the areas diverse reef.

On our final night in this North Queensland paradise we say farewell with a group dinner.
