      Welcome to Palermo! Upon arrival, youโ€™ll be transferred to your hotel, with some free time to follow. Home to over half a million people, Palermoโ€”the capital of Sicilyโ€”is a dynamic city full of contrasts. Its impressive architecture reflects a unique blend of Arab, Norman, Aragonese, and Baroque influences. With a mild climate year-round, vibrant energy, and rich culinary traditions, Palermo is a city that leaves a lasting impression.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Palermo

      Day 2: Palermo

      Today, weโ€™ll embark on a guided city tour of Palermo with a local expert. Highlights include the cathedral, famous for its blend of architectural styles and royal tombs (admission included), and the Palazzo dei Normanni, a former royal palace with fountains, markets, and gardens. Weโ€™ll also visit Monreale to see its cathedral (admission included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its breathtaking golden mosaics that adorn the entire interior. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.Note: For smaller groups, the tour may be conducted as part of a regular excursion offered by local companies instead of a private tour.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Palermo, Cefalu, Castelbuono, Tindari, Milazzo

      Weโ€™ll leave Palermo and follow the scenic Tyrrhenian Sea coastline, taking in beautiful landscapes along the way. Our first stop will be Cefalรน, a charming coastal town. Its Norman cathedral, renowned for its unique architecture and mosaics, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historic center is a delightful mix of narrow streets, sea views, and commercial and tourist life. After some time for lunch, weโ€™ll head inland to Castelbuono, a little picturesque mountain town that captures the tranquility of Sicilyโ€™s interior with its ancient walls, castle, and charming central streets. Next, weโ€™ll return to the coast and visit Tindari, where the Sanctuary of Tindari stands atop a mountain, offering breathtaking views of the sea. This famous pilgrimage site is home to the Black Madonna. Nearby, youโ€™ll find the ruins of an ancient Greek polis. Our journey will conclude in Milazzo, a lively port city overlooking the volcanic Aeolian Islands.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Milazzo, Vulcano, Lipari, Taormina

      Weโ€™ll have an exhilarating day as we explore two islands in the Aeolian archipelago, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites known for their ongoing volcanic activity. Our adventure will begin with a ferry ride to Lipari, the largest and most charming of the Aeolian Islands, famous for its historic center, impressive castle, and tourist scene. After enjoying some time for lunch and a leisurely walk, weโ€™ll hop on another ferry for a short 30-minute journey to Vulcano. Here, weโ€™ll be struck by the islandโ€™s distinctive sulfuric aroma and the sight of its fumaroles. Overshadowed by its vast crater, Vulcano is also home to unique hot water beaches. We highly recommend taking a dip in the islandโ€™s sulfurous thermal waters, since their mud is renowned for its skin benefits. Donโ€™t miss this one-of-a-kind experience. After our visit, weโ€™ll return by ferry to Milazzo (a journey of just over an hour) and then continue to Taormina, where weโ€™ll arrive by the end of the day. Note: In the summer or during special events, accommodation might be arranged in Messina instead of Taormina.

      At the foot of Mount Etna lies the enchanting city of Taormina, once described by Churchill as the most beautiful place on earth. Youยดll have time to explore the lively historic quarter, with its Greek theater dominating the mesmerizing landscape. You can also relax on the beach. Lunch and dinner will be included.

      Weโ€™ll journey to Syracuse, a city that once rivaled Athens and Rome in power and splendor. Youโ€™ll have time to explore its magnificent historic center and have lunch. Then, weโ€™ll head to Noto, a charming city frozen in time, renowned as the Baroque jewel of Sicily. After, weโ€™ll continue to Agrigento, where weโ€™ll admire the stunning Valley of the Temples from the coach. Dinner will be included.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Agriento, Marsala, Erice, Palermo

      Day 7: Agriento, Marsala, Erice, Palermo

      Weโ€™ll visit the Valley of the Temples with a local guide, an impressive archaeological site known as the most complete complex of Greek temples (admission included). Then, weโ€™ll travel to Marsala, a historic city renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and famous wine, where weโ€™ll have time for lunch. Our journey will continue around the scenic Marsala salt pans to Erice, a charming Phoenician town overlooking the sea, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Finally, weโ€™ll head to Palermo. Dinner will be included.
