Itinerary of your trip 5 Days Lisbon, Fatima And Madrid.

  • Day 1 Hello Lisbon!
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Hello Lisbon!

After your arrival at the Lisbon International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel.

The rest of the day will be to relax and begin to enjoy the capital of Portugal, a breathtaking city with beautiful streets, monumental buildings, and a gastronomy that will not disappoint you.

Lisbon is a city where you feel safe wandering around day or night, where the cuisine is dedicated to creating over a thousand ways to cook the beloved bacalhau (salted cod). Lisbon is a city full of authenticity, where old customs and ancient history intermix with cultural entertainment and hi-tech innovation.

Besides, is one of the most vibrant and welcoming cities in Western Europe. Its hills are dazzling by the multiplicity of colors that paint the facades of the houses, as well as by its castles and medieval buildings.

  • Day 2 Lisbon
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Lisbon

After a delicious breakfast you will visit, with your local guide, the most important sites of this beautiful city located at the mouth of the Tagus River. The Alfama neighborhood will be our first destination, which to this day retains its neighborhood essence with low houses and narrow sidewalks. It is the oldest part of the city and the most photogenic for its graffitis and facades. Due to its labyrinthine structure -inherited from the Arabs-, getting lost in its little streets is charmingly easy.

The Torre de Belem, located in the Tagus estuary, initially served as a defensive tower to protect the city but later became a customs center and lighthouse. It was built between 1515 and 1519 and is the work of Francisco de Arruda. In 1983 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is located very close to the Jerรณnimos Monastery, where we will continue our visit. Inside this Monastery we will find a Church that contains the tombs of one of the most important figures in the history of Portugal: Vasco da Gama. This Portuguese navigator and explorer was in charge of circling the African continent until he reached India, opening up the so-called spice route for the Portuguese.

During the afternoon we include a transfer to the Restauradores square, a public square with plenty of restaurants and cafes.

  • Day 3 Lisbon - Fatima - Madrid
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Lisbon - Fatima - Madrid

Today, after a complete breakfast, you will travel to the north of Portugal to visit Fatima, an important sanctuary (a pilgrimage site). The sanctuary of Our Lady of Fรกtima has become, throughout the years, the fourth biggest catholic pilgrimage site in the world, due to the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three little shepherds in 1917.

You will continue on through the green lands of the centre, passing into Spain and then, over grasslands, you will cross the North of Extremadura. Lunch included in route at a regional cuisine restaurant.

Last stop from the day will be Madrid where you will be arriving towards the end of the day. Once there will be possible to catch a transfer to Plaza Mayor where you can enjoy at some typical taverns.

Madrid is a city steeped in history and culture, with vibrant streets brimming with energy. Itโ€™s famous for its impressive monuments, beautiful fountains, world-class museums, stunning architecture, delightful parks and squares, and so much more.

  • Day 4 Highlights Of Madrid
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Highlights Of Madrid

After a tasty breakfast, we will enjoy a panoramic tour around the city.

We will visit the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalรก, Plaza de Colรณn and Plaza Mayor.

We then will visit Retiro Park, an oasis in the city center, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. A visit to Las Ventas Bullring (admission included) is next.

This is one of the most famous bullrings in the world where we will learn about the tradition of the โ€œcorridasโ€ at the Bullfighting Museum.

The rest of the afternoon is free so you can enjoy it at your own pace.

At sunset we will provide a transfer to Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, an elegant and bustling area with many restaurants serving different cuisines, such as local Spanish food, international and Chinese.

At the end of the evening we will return to the hotel.

  • Day 5 Bye Bye Madrid!
